Probably only 3 or 5 days after he was abandoned because he was so little and fragile. My wife and I heard the meow sound on the way home. We waited for several minutes and finally found him at the corner of a pile of trash, dirty, eyes closed with slimmy thing, almost dying.

The post body said their eyes were closed when they found them, and they were slimy. So probably got abandoned by the mother because it was a blind runt?
Maybe it’s just poor lighting and the kitten has brown eyes?
