The reason they are called soap operas is because soap companies were the ones that funded the original radio shows that became the daytime soaps….

Other than writing on Wayward Pines which did fine. Stranger Things is the only thing they have done.

Currently Watching:

• Dept Q: I am on Episode 5 and it is great!
• Dope Girls: I am on Episode 3 and the show has sagged a bit but it is good.
• A Thousand Blows: I struggle with Stephen Knight Shows, but this one is great. I am on episode 3.
• Andor: Episode 8 is tonight. It is the best Star Wars since 1980s Empire Strikes Back.
• Hard Knocks with the Buffalo Bills. If you are into Hard Knocks than this is for you.

Probably abandoning:

Smoke: I am 2 episodes into the show and I am really struggling to care about it. I will give it at least one more episode. Nothing is working in the show. I don’t buy Jurnee Smollette as an on the edge cop, Edggerton is not working as whatever he is supposed to be. It is just so contrived.

The first episode of Ozark is spectacular. Then the show really sags until the last two episodes of S1. S2 and S3 are the shows best and s4 was just garbage.

Even the best seasons of Ozark have parts that are brilliant and parts that are just so bad…

Overall it just isn’t worth it, except maybe for the Julie Garner as Ruth. Talk about a tour-de-force of a performance.

They just changed the name of Epix to MGM+.

I think it used to be Stars at one point too, but I am not sure.

That’s cool. Even if they go with the 45 day window it won’t get me to the theater anymore.

The ship has already sailed on theaters being the primary delivery model of new releases. That is going to get even more difficult as the current target demographic is replaced.

In coming high school kids don’t even watch things on TV anymore.

The first one was in 2019 and it was just a failure.

All the Damon Bourne sequels were trash. The Renner sequel had some interesting elements, but it was basically the same story structure as the rest of the franchise. Though Renner and weisz’s chemistry was off the charts. Also Norton was great.

The Treadstone TV show was disjointed meandering garbage.

They really did create a monster and I have to tip my hat to Starr. The writers may have created the character, but he made the character real.

I struggled to finish the first season of this show. I used to be a huge Taylor Sheridan fan, now I just avoid his products.
