What a cool place! I miss these stores and wish one was near me.
There’s no clear answer to save such a place. I don’t know much about the city but it’s likely in an accessible area so moving to a less expensive part of Paris or just outside of the city would help rent but the foot traffic would likely drop.
As much of an uphill battle it is for these stores I’m hoping for a positive outcome for them.

Just to be clear, I’m not saying this is anywhere near as serious compared to the points you’ve made. Those are truly harmful things done to others. To know he was in such a low ranked movie and had the worst performance of everyone in it while trying to portray himself brings a bit of joy.

So, initially, the episode came out in November, and there was no reaction. There wasn’t any upswell about that episode at all. It really wasn’t a big deal at the time. That January, in 2006, my dad had a stroke, and during the course of his recovery, I think that March, they re-aired the episode. When it re-aired, that’s when Scientology got upset.
At that time, my father was recovering from a stroke — literally learning how to talk, learning how to function. I visited my father. He was really struggling sometimes to even speak and say words. At the time, the people that were around him were largely Scientologists — his publicists and management. Those decisions about his involvement in the show, his leaving the show, were made by those people and not him. He would have never quit that show. He loved that show, and he was making a lot of money doing that show. So, I take issue with the way those decisions were made on his behalf because it put him in a position to actually have to go on the road and tour before he was ready to tour.
Carnivàle. I think it took a few years more for mainstream viewers to get into dark fantasy/supernatural sci-fi.
The show is out there but I really hoped to see a better conclusion than what we got before it was cancelled.

Politely request cancellation of any automated payments going forward and if one went through recently see if it’s possible to initiate a charge back. Not sure if a charge back would work in this situation but worth a try.
