    Almost like there’s a market for people who want to consume the single most popular (still largely in many places) illicit substance in the world. Crazy.

    The type of location also plays a crucial role, with hotels in resort areas benefiting the most from retail dispensary legalization

    I’m kind of skeptical about the conclusions here because from what I understand everything in Colorado got more expensive and crowded over that time period, especially in resort areas, which probably was because of other factors too.

      Correlation is not causation. Sometimes folks can’t help but see what they want to see. I mean is it really “got some ganja”, therefore “better go rent a hotel room.” If so then wouldn’t there be other indicators of increased tourism.
