Didn’t let the rosin cure, wanted to try with some fresh rosin.

So I decarbed about a G and added some Wax liquidizer for some extra thinning and flavoring.

Letting the rosin cure should allow me to avoid the thinner next time. Just wanted to make a cart tonight!

What the heck kinda cart is that? 🤨

Can you smoke directly from it? The part that’s usually a 510 threaded post looks like another moith piece. Or maybe that’s just a unique style cap and I’m dumb… 🤣

I’ve got another that’s even more discrete, the entire cart goes inside, but it leaves a residue on everything, so needa clean it constantly.

The other battery the wife picked me up is just hilarious. Bought 2g cart on it.

Most of the ones I have are YoCan, dunno if they are in the states though.

They are available in the States, at least in PA! Yocan Uni Pro 2.0 or Wulf Mods X-ray Series Uni Pro (which uses Yocan tech inside its own custom shell). The 2.0 is metal; 1.0/the original and the Wulf Mods are plastic.

Oh wow! That’s a neat looking black metal variant. I had not heard of Tribal before. Very cool

The thing is hefty, like you’d probably do some serious damage if you hucked it at someone, compared to the plastic it’s crazy.

Don’t pour. I heat it up to decarb it, can take up to a day sometimes. And once it’s decarbed it’s like honey, just grab a syringe with a large needle and transfer it.

It gets thicker when it cools back down. But properly decarbed should remain fairly “runny”.

Thanks! Way better than heating the oven up for a small jar. It’ll fit my mason jars too if I get THAT much.

It’s my log book and resource machine. The PC is just a little too far away and writing hurts so I can’t really jot notes and walk over after I’m done.

Thanks! Im looking forward to it, I’ve enjoyed most his other stories. I’ve got a couple more to go before reading this one I believe. Next is robot and empire, I’ve read the three robots and the entire foundation series already.

He’s in my top three favourite authors, so it’s always nice to see another Isaac Asimov enjoyer in the wild :)

Asimov once called it his least favorite book, and I tend to agree. Its ending nearly made my eyes roll out of their sockets. I wanted to throw the book in the trash.

Yeah, it’s uh… not his best work. Still, it was the only book I was missing from him for several years, and now my collection is finally complete! It has a special place for me just because of that, and because of the anticipation of finally being able to read it

You can tell in a few story lines and parts he had to specifically twist some stuff to get it to get it to fit into the singular universe.

Looking forward to it regardless though. I’m done foundations and the three robots books already!

It’s not about what he tried into that universe, it’s what he shoehorned into the book for no reason other than to appeal to US nationalists. He has said he regrets writing that nonsensical subplot and was sorta strong armed into it, but what’s done is done and it’s so insanely dumb that it ruins the entire book, which is admittedly not that great without it either.

So I don’t smoke carts because of the heavy metals that are often found within them. Does making them homemade eliminate this issue or do the heavy metals come from heating the coil?

That I don’t know. Making them yourself you can avoid the PG and other thinners. I don’t think they have heavy metals in Canada, little more stringent on some stuff like that.

Now, growing in soil can leach heavy metals, there’s also the whole synthetic vs natural nutrients as well. But you can control everything if you do it yourself.

Gonna add on here, the coils, often the cheaper ones on disposables, are the source of heavy metals for most vapers.

When I vaped nic heavily while quitting (10 years!) I wrapped my own coils for this reason. I could source the wire from reputable locations and ensure I wasn’t add heavy metal poisoning to my vice.

I’d be looking to wind your own coils with the correct wire too if you wanted to reduce the metals exposure. I vape herb which feels pretty clean.
