I believe many of the censures came to being as a coordinated effort to isolate the instance as it was one of the first that allows speech that doesn’t tow the lemmy party line.
From the interactions I’ve seen on my community on hc all the vile activity has come from outside instances.
I was not aware there was a ‘lemmy party line’, especially considering the origins of lemmy and its devs
