Under a full blown managed economy and communism, do you think the government being rebelled against is going to make sure all those rebels have food and housing?

The biggest issue with the US that prevents things like people straight beating on riot cops in Korea is our culture of gun violence. There is no real room for escalation. You either have the “parade protest” where everyone is focused on their costumes and signs or a full blown riot that is going to be put down with “rubber bullets” with almost nothing in between. And even the former is just begging for a fat white kid to come unload on you.

Which makes it a lot harder to have any meaningful form of resistance until… shit gets REALLY REALLY bad.
