Another genius decision from David Zaslav!
I mean, just because people are watching it on Tubi doesn’t mean they were going to pay HBO Max subscription fees to watch it there. Tubi is mostly ad supported and targets an entirely different demographic. Zaslav is a douche canoe and a moron, but this isn’t the smoking gun the author seems to think it is.
Doesn’t WBD have its own free streaming outlet like Tubi?
I dunno, I don’t do free streaming. I’d rather just pirate the content. Mel Blanc has been dead for 35 years, and art is not a commodity to be pimped out.
No, it licences FAST channels to Tubi and Amazon.
Funny enough, I have a discounted subscription to HBO Max because of Looney Tunes. I subscribed to Boomerang for $5.99 a month so the kids could watch LT and other classic cartoons. They shut down Boomerang and rolled those cartoons into HBO Max, and told me I would have access to HBO Max for the same $5.99 a month until further notice. Now Looney Tunes aren’t even on there anymore, and I’m still paying the discounted rate. As long as it stays that price, I’ll stay subscribed. If it goes up even $1, I’m out and will cancel.
I liked it. Now how about some of that Wile E. Coyote movie?
Next year, Ketchup Entertainment acquired the rights to Coyote v. Acme and says August 2026 is the release date.
Deadline: Ketchup Negotiates for It. Variety: Announced Release Date
