  • I mean you know how insane you sound right now, right? Like I doubt you are being serious in what you are saying, cause we’re over here saying “Hey some of those people murdered women and children who had nothing to do with the attacks on the Dakota people and that is frequently a death penalty kind of situation” and you’re over there implying those women and children could have totally deserved it or something so that would have make it ok, kinda hard to tell which is why I have to assume you just don’t like people disagreeing with you.

  • Look I agree with the overall sentiment but 1 of these is not like the others, especially if you’ve read the history of the Dakota War of 1862. Should the US in general not have wholesale slaughtered an indigenous people and stolen their land? Obviously not. Did that reality lead to the war of 1862? Sure did. Does that make massacring people on either side ok? No not really. Lincoln was given a recommendation to execute 303 people who participated in battles and, in some cases, massacred civilians. He asked for details of their convictions. Then he decided that the 38 who actively participated in massacres of innocent people should be executed, not the others who participated in battles. That kinda feels like the best of a fucked up situation to me.

  • On the one hand yes, I agree that’s the worst part, on the other hand polling is an actual data science. Legit polling organizations don’t just pull shit out of nowhere. If they say “due to the economy” they mean there is a correlation between people with a negative attitude towards Trump and people who say their biggest concern is the economy. And this makes sense because let’s be honest, most Democrats already dislike him for other reasons, so the people who are just NOW changing their opinion on him are likely to be for money reasons since that’s the current thing going on.

  • It is sometimes good at building SQL code examples, but almost always needs fine-tuning since it doesn’t know the schema specifics.

Having said that one time it gave me code that resulted in an error, then I went back to GPT and said “This code you gave me is giving this error, can you fix it?” and all it would do is say something like “Correct, that code is wrong and will give an error.”

  • I mean unless you are intentionally being obtuse I feel like you know damn well what people mean when they say “A vote for X is a vote for Trump”. It’s not a coincidence that so many Republican allies and organizations are promoting and pumping up 3rd party candidates to run in various swing states and pull votes away from Harris, this isn’t a new tactic and historically has absolutely changed elections.
