It’s odd that they consider the really specific case of a teen that works two jobs to make ends meet, and decide to make national sweeping changes to accommodate that. I tried tidal about two years ago and they had even less of what I listen to than Spotify. But maybe I should check in again and see what’s different, because nothing stays the same for long.

I’m pretty sure his label put his stuff back on there, despite his wishes. I seen to remember a need article at the time describing his reaction as “disappointed”. Not all of his stuff is back on there, but I guess the stuff he didn’t have full control over is.

Personally, I don’t listen to Joe Rogan, but I do listen to Neil Young. And Spotify is the way I typically listen to anything since they killed the SD Card on most mobile phones. So it hurt me, and I assume it hurts anyone who would want to listen to both and only gets the option of Joe Rogan. So I think having access to media is better, but I’m not the artist and I get taking a moral stance.

Yeah, the problem is we’ve been kept powerless over big issues. When we found out about oil companies poisoning the earth, we SHOULD have had the power to put the whole company on trial. Instead they said our elected officials were the only option, and they did nothing. That’s an excellent point. We’re told we’re powerless, and kept that way… So they can be richer.

Well that’s me and my generation. Many of my friends left for other states, and I’m only waiting till my kid is old enough to move up to high school to move. I only have one friend left that has a kid and didn’t move out of state. Everyone else is long gone.

There are ZERO teachers coming from out of state. Certified teachers that live here are quitting and doing anything else. There’s emergency certifications for regular people to teach, if they don’t mind being paid 20k a year.

They want us stupid so they can take every dime we have. In the 90s we had some of the top schools in the nation!

This is why we’re moving out of Oklahoma. It’s circling the drain, and too many people are cheering for the ride down to ever expect it to improve.

The real scary part is how much they’re trying to attack him, because a democratic socialist mayor in New York can show how shitty Republican solutions have been on solving core problems like wealth inequality. Beyond what Bernie or AOC can do as an individual member of Congress. A mayor is an executive, and new York is big. If he’s not trying to line his pockets, he can do real damage to conservatives and establishment Democrats just by showing everyone there’s a better way.

Thanks for linking those. I can tell you that most people that know English as a first language have very little to no knowledge about the history between Poland and Ukraine. Like many things in the international world, it’s very complicated. But now I understand it a little better. I would agree that Poland is under no obligation to support a government that can’t seem to separate it’s independence from fascist leaders of the past, which does raise questions about the direction of the future. Yes, Ukraine needs to be free. They need an the help they can get. But what if they win, and fascism takes hold?

I mean, look at how the US is falling to fascism. People aren’t careful enough.
