At the early stages no. It is vital we keep it open to get as many people through the door to promote fediverse. Eventually some people will create accounts in other instances.

I’m a Sync guy. But I am so glad that we are reducing the barrier to entry for the community. I hope we get large enough to topple reddit

The barrier to entry is super high but hopefully websites and apps are developed to make it easier for people to join. (Sync for Lemmy)
