Northern California already has subsidized fire insurance called PG&E delivery charges. It just takes a while to pay out through the civil suits.

White is themed around order and balance. Black is power at any cost. Red is impulsive and energetic. Green is harmonious with the natural world.
Blue interacts with the fundamental fabric of reality and is absolute bullshit.
Love the rich brown color in the roux and final product. Looks excellent - cheers!
From a purely consumer perspective, fast food prices increased to the price territory of superior fast casual and independent restaurants while being significantly lower quality.
How did this happen without the other options increasing prices at the same rate? McDonalds lost their value proposition and eaters adjusted.
People didn’t stop ordering burgers, but they can get a great one over McD’s for maybe 20% more cost.
Data gathering/brokering and payment information security are not really connected. PCI compliance standards are well standardized and fairly strict.
I would trust Google to handle payment information securely over any ‘media’ company.
If personal data was regulated at even the fraction of what payment data goes through we would all be better off.
People who complain about moderation on this platform tend to be really obnoxious.
Case in point OP screenshotting a Royal ‘we’ advocating murdering people in a job description with no other criteria and a couple generic emojis to boot.
Relative to the volume of content and platform tools available please just communicate responsibly. There is an objective standard for advocating for future violence and OPs comment clearly meets that.
First 48 is about finding a victim alive. Murderers are commonly identified and caught outside that window.
Oh wow. I’ve never handled a suppressor myself, thought you just spun it onto a threaded barrel.
Not a fan of this BIG TEXT markup read my comment formatting. Let people read the thread organically and upvote comments they think are worthy of attention.
This is Reddit sports sub tier BS I don’t want to see on Lemmy.
Back in 2014 RIF was $2 one time purchase for a completely ad free experience. I knew that couldn’t last forever, but I enjoyed the 9 years I did have.
This is fucking delicious. Chicken soup for my despair post election.
That definition appears inconsistent with how that word was used in the tweet. What is the leftist version?
Check California’s law on what constitutes an assault rifle. Centerfire rifles with certain features cannot have a detachable mag. You have to break apart the firearm to reload.
Your other option is a featureless rifle which can have a detachable mag. Either way you’re capped at 10 rounds.
When you lose an election this badly, people are clearly not buying you’re selling.
But damn I did not expect so many people to sit out against the guy who did the coup and amongst all the other shit. If there is any light ahead, I think it’s that this L forces the Democratic Party to lean back left with their campaign promises, and whatever power they have left to affect policy.
OP adding a Lemmy stamp to the repost pile!
You summed up my questions about the situation. I do not understand the change in course late in the election.
If WaPo announced this in February, sure. It’s a little weird that news orgs officially endorse candidates.
Correct. The 3rd amendment requires enlisted military personnel to ask and obtain your consent prior to fucking your wife in your own home.
In southeastern Michigan I have the luxury of voting for candidates at various levels of government who do oppose supplying Israel with weapons.
In the presidential election, where is the leverage?
I would be curious to poll the Seattle WTO protesters and see how they voted in the last election.
I recently moved to the Midwest from the West Coast and understand how Globalist policy kinda sucks for a lot of people out here.
