I like that story a lot, it’s a good reminder that we may not be able to change our circumstances but we can always change our attitude. So would you say Buddhism is more of a system of thought and less of a religion? Kinda like stoicism?

The difference is ‘accidently’. God killed all of earth except one family on purpose and continues to kill people to this day. Assuming Gid is real, of course.
That’s very interesting to me. I dont know anything about Buddhism, can you explain why Buddists wouldn’t be affected much if they found out their relifious figure never existed? I think for christians it would be devastating because it would mean all the promises the bible makes wouldn’t come true, like a rewarding after life for it’s followers and a punishing afterlife for non-believers. FYI I’m athiest, but I find religion and it’s verious practices to be fascinating.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I can tell you are a very frustrated person who doesn’t feel like they have any control over their life.
I am an american. you must not be, because if you were you would know, as I have previously stated, that the third parties weren’t viable. For practical purposes, it is identical to not voting at all.
Are you an american?
You’re right, I should have clarified; “The only options that had more than a snowflakes chance in hell of winning the election were option D and option R.”. how silly of me.
Ok, then there is nothing more to discuss.
I’m afraid you might be correct on this because that will take years, if not decades.
Do you have a source for Harris supporting genocide? I’m ok with deporting people who are here illegally if they are given a fair trial and found to have committed crimes that warrant deportation. I would really like to know what your alternative options are, though, if you would mind answering my question from the previous comment. Although it’s beginning to seem more like you just want to argue with someone rather than have meaningful conversation, though I guess I should have realized that when you started name calling.
What do you think of a portential grassroots progressive takeover of the democratic party? Similar to what the tea party did with the republicans? If Bernie and AOC could form a coalition with the Congressional Progressive Caucus, maybe that could gain widespread popularity and push out the old guard democratic leadership?
I’m worried a third party isn’t viable with the current election system we have, considering gerrymandering, electoral college, first past the post voting, and now Trump is attacking the federal election commission and judicial branch.
I apologize, when I said ‘option D’ I was referring to Kamala Harris during the last US presidential election, not Biden and I will not defend Biden for his actions (or lack there of) regarding the Gazan genocide. But no, I am not a bot, my post history should attest to that. On the other hand, what would you like people like me to have done differently last election to improve the situation? I would like to know all my options for the next election.
I don’t know what to tell you. There was option D that would have at worst made a show of an attempt to mediate between Hamas and the IDF and at best condemn and stop sale of weapons to isreal, and there was option R that was going to give the IDF complete reign to do whatever they wanted. I do the only things I can for now, which is voting, contacting my representatives, and protesting. Maybe that means I have no standards, I’m not sure.
You seem like a very emotionally intelligent person, and I respect you a lot. Thank you for sharing your beliefs with and worldview me. I think we would agree on more than we would differ.
