I agree, but I don’t think we’re in the cycle just yet, it feels like there’s a big tipping point we’re about to reach in the western owned social medium.

I’m holding out for a Mörk Borg game
Yeah i agree, this Controller doesn’t look comfortable for any job.
I’d recommend playing 2 types of games to get used to it.
First a single player FPS with gyro working on some kind of switch, if you have a Steam Controller, this would be when you are touching the right touchpad, otherwise with a PS5 controller for example maybe it’s always on, but when you touch the touchpad it disables.
This allows you to recentre the controller when you need to so you’re not twisting around in your chair.
Second play a third person action game with some kind of shooting and enable the gyro only when you pull the button to aim, usually left trigger, this will help you fine tune your aim and get used to that enhancement. I really enjoyed Horizen Zero Dawn like this and Alien: Fire team Elite.
Once you switch the stick to a DPad and use both touchpad it really opens up
There are better ways than using Lutris
Probably not the purpose of this distro but using snaps in this way are a massive benefit for embedded systems
99% of people don’t understand anything about Snaps except from thinking they’re worse than Flatpak
I used to use ~/dev
but for years now I use ~/Workspace
becaue Eclipse made me do it
Unfortunately there’s not a lot of choice when it comes to Linux games journalism.
Yes, I decided i wanted to learn touch typing a while ago, I switched to a different layout from QWERTY called Coleman, it’s fairly similar but puts the most common letters on the home row or near your first and second fingers, while keeping the position of common shortcut keys like Z, X, C.
I also switched my keyboard to an Ortholinear style which i found helped with my accuracy as i was learning.
Unsurprising from Liam, he’s and insufferable arse.
How did he get ousted? He setup the Lemmy community as far as I was aware?
Looks like he just quit
I don’t know the answer to the question, but paper printers cannot print bank notes apparently
I know what you mean, I bought a PSP and PSVita after my Steam Deck and currently I’m using the Vita as my goto emulator, the PSP is great for when I’m out and about and want something smaller.
Battery life on both is great
But what about Only Office?
Etcher is not recommend anymore because it’s adware and there are better free alternative like Impression
I could care less
In my experience the AUR is useful but almost unnecessary, and if you want to use flatpak you can get away from using the AUR entirely
I picked mine up last year, and a PSP GO also. They’re great litte machines and I prefer them to my Steam Deck for certain things, the size and quality of hardware is in the sweet spot.
