If voters (or those who didn’t bother) couldn’t see that the status quo was much better than Trump, then they chose stupidly and it’s their fault. The democrats put out a candidate that was better than Trump, that’s all that should matter.
The reason democrats didn’t win was because of the vast right wing media system that biases and spins everything and too many idiotic voters who fall for it. If the democrats went more radical left, that same right wing media system would still do its thing to manipulate the stupid voters, but it would also turn off some intelligent centrists from supporting the democrats. Any non idiotic left wing people would already be voting democrat over Trump. But, alas there are too many idiots in the U.S. and that is why we now have trump and his handlers destroying the country.

Yes that’s interesting. So who gave the order - there must be some kind of record. Or was is a mole, or Hamas making a fake call? Or were the soldiers making up an excuse as they had been lazy? Surely such an accusation should be followed up on as much as possible, but all we get is that one little bit of ‘testimony’ in a clearly biased article that blurs named sources with unsubstantiated ‘reports’.
It might be true for all I know, but it seems very unlikely. If true, it’s very important to know where such an order came from. The people of Israel aren’t stupid - they wouldn’t stand for an intentional lapse in security. So what’s the real story? - why would such a huge accusation be a minor footnote?

Yes that would be good. But in places where such truth and reconciliation efforts have happened (s Africa, Canada), there has always been a reasonable amount of stability first. It won’t happen while there’s fighting. It won’t happen with the current Israeli government anyway, of course; but hopefully that will change at some point.

Note that Germany wasn’t eliminated. In fact it’s as strong and as large as ever. It was just the government that changed. Yes - I think the right wing Israeli government should be kicked out, either by democracy or external pressure. But that won’t be the end of Israel.

Well written. And I do call for Israel to stop its wonton disregard for civilian safety and their embargo on aid - not that my voice means much. I do avoid the g word because it’s not well defined and I don’t think it’s useful. I agree that Hamas cannot be completely destroyed - but I think the Israeli perspective is that it can be meaningfully reduced so as to provide some period of peace (for Israelis). As unacceptable as it is, their response to the Oct attack will likely dissuade further such actions for a while.
