Statistically speaking, the likelihood of someone lying about sexual assault is low, a reasonable estimate being around 3-4%. When you have 9 separate people making the same claim, it gives credance to the idea that the odds of their claims being false is very low.

I don’t think I’ll ever understand why people have a problem with a female protagonist. I’m a girl and my fave games ever all involve playing as male protagonists. One of the core essences of playing videogames is escapism, to be someone that you’re not, I don’t see what’s immersion breaking about it. I’ve seen the trailer and I’m hyped!
It’s good that the majority support it, but it’s also concerning that 38% didn’t. The USA should have universal healthcare. I don’t want to say where I live or where I don’t live but if you live in a country which doesn’t have universal healthcare I genuinely feel bad for you.
Legend of Donkey Kong: Smell of the Banana was one of my all time favourites of the series. Cries of the Potassium, the sequel to Smell of the Banana, is even better. I honestly really liked how they expanded on the King K. Rool mercenaries who would ambush you just to steal your banana collection but the subplot revolving around Candy Kong turning into a gigantic banana was just weird.
If there’s the option, always physical, I guess I’m just old fashioned!

Oh I already know about that. The Internet Archive has been dubbed the digital equivalent of the Library of Alexandria before, due to its size, similar purpose, and significance. My comparison was for that reason.
I was wondering why I hadn’t been able to access Internet Archive yesterday… Who would take down what is the digital equivalent to the Library of Alexandria? I can only imagine some really childish people who have nothing better to do with their lives. I hope that the website can recover from the attack soon! 🙏

Yup, that’s how it should be across the board. That’s how it is with modern airliners. The redundancy of having each system be controlled by multiple computers is nullified if a hacker can get to control all of them, including the ones which are safety critical, just by hacking one. I honestly don’t blame you, I love the internet but there really are situations where something really doesn’t need to be connected to the internet.
Why does a car need to be connected to the internet? A reliable rule of conduct in aeronautics is that systems which are deemed critical to safety are air gapped from the systems which are connected to the internet, so in the event that those systems are compromised by malware or hackers, the safety critical systems won’t also be compromised.
Why is it seemingly taking automotive manufacturers so long to catch on to this principle? Before anyone mentions downloadable features, I do not see that as a means of justification. Like with videogames, if you’re paying good money for a product, that product should already be finished by release. Hiding content that should already exist on a car is egregious and the normalisation of it incentivizes manufacturers to release vehicles that are incomplete and should not have been released in their current state.
There were so many things relating to this incident that bewildered me. The titanium end caps were stuck on using glue, by hand. Also, while carbon fiber is great at handling tensile loads at 14 PSI, it’s not so great at handling compressive ones at 5500 PSI. For such a delicate mission, the whole thing seemed unprofessional in so many ways.

Before such articles are published, the journalists would have had to have collected a lot of information and had the article reviewed by their legal team. For so many women out there, sexual assault is a very real and terrible thing that they’ve experienced, with around 1 in 3 women globally being subjected to either physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence or non-partner sexual violence in their lifetime, and I would not even consider relegating their experiences to a mere “story”.
