I think a lot of us in Washington and Oregon would be all for this. And we can leave the eastern sides out. Northern California is obviously welcome.

They would have been slapped down hard by now if not for the nuclear threat posed by Putin being more concerned about power than anything else in the world.
If all these governments and militants could just chill the fuck out and not drag the rest of us into World War 3, that would be just swell.
Ah, thanks for clarifying. I think most of us would see that as having two homes, one of which you rent out.
Oh, thanks for sharing. That’s extremely rare in my experience. I only ever experienced it when I lived in Japan, in fact. Never have encountered that as a thing in the US, though I’m sure it happens here and there.
American landlords tend to live in their own single family house.
I spent a few years living in Oregon and I remember not being able to help having a double take the first time I saw a black person in my town. I had already lived there for years and never seen one.
It doesn’t get much whiter than Oregon.
It was basically the same as the first time I saw a black person when I lived in Sendai, Japan. They just aren’t there.
Edit: For reference, I grew up in New Jersey, where there were plenty of black people. And Latinos. We were pretty diverse. Japan is not diverse. Oregon is not diverse outside of the Portland area, maybe Eugene or Salem.
That’s probably part of why Eastern Washington and Eastern Oregon largely want to join Idaho.
Oh, I know it does. I would be very happy to have a Cascadian nation state. But the racists really do exist, especially in Oregon and to a slightly lesser extent in Washington. Oregon didn’t even allow black people to settle there after the Civil War. There are still remnants of that present in the culture and ethnic makeup.
Very kind of you, thank you.
[insert frustrated, screaming face here]
People have this idea that movement through time is inherently progress. Even though, in some cases, it clearly is not.
I mean this in relation to “progressing” to feudalism and capitalism. “Progressing” to the next generation’s political leadership.
How are you a landlord if you only own one house? Surely you mean two houses. Unless you rent.
You can’t “assassinate” a portrait.
I agree that it doesn’t matter, but I was commenting within the context of what the other person said.
The Safeway app says that eggs “may be unavailable”. Not being able to buy them is kind of like them being cheap…
Some people from the area do in fact have a racist agenda about it. I’m from the area. I was so disappointed when I encountered those types because I liked the Cascadia idea, but I don’t want to be lumped in with them. You can see it on reddits Cascadia sub.
Destroyed how?
Can we just have a screaming face as the reply?
No, he still needs to be confirmed. It looks very likely, however.
Sorry. NorCal is part of our shared cultural region. We could probably accept New England in, though.
