The server is most likely overloaded and doesn’t answer with a usable payload in a timely manner. Retrying after some time is usually enough.

I see some Lemmy results quite fine. Google results need some time to be indexed.

Unfortunately this type of computer (2 in 1, x86 tablets, etc.) has generally very limited IO and a strange BIOS configuration (32-bits UEFI) that makes installing Linux more difficult than on a normal laptop (not impossible though).
You will need to provide us with the exact model you have in order to know exactly what’s ahead of you.
Right now there are 10 (that I could find on browse.feddit.de) instances named Linux on different server
Over time one of them will have more activity than the other and attract more and more users, it will then be THE linux community on lemmy. Just give it time.
