I do think Trump gets us there faster than Kamala would have, because of the reasons you stated. He is destroying the US at a pace that is honestly necessary when we consider the climate destruction timeline. If the options are only those two, since no organized revolution is happening in the US by the left, Trump gets us there faster. It doesn’t mean we want it, or like it, or are happy about it, because it means death and violence on the most marginalized people. It is probably the best outcome for the world out of those two options, and inshallah it will be the end of imperialism and usher in a new era of growth for the global south. Trump won’t necessarily help a left revolution come to power, even if things get bad I’m not sure if Americans will be able to get organized at that level because of other factors, but I do think it is better for the workers outside of America.

How is it a coup when they said they were going to do this and the people still voted for them and their opposition handed over the keys and said “welcome home?” They didn’t take over the system by force, they were given the red carpet treatment to a system they already had a significant control over via owning politicians and lobbyists.

It’s incredibly striking that Americans have more or less been okay with business as usual as long as they can pretend it isn’t happening. If you want to stop the billionaire class from using their unilateral control, you really missed your chance. A nation founded as a dictatorship of landowners, slavers, and capitalists, consistent through its entire history in upholding the interests of the bosses over the workers, and yet now it’s a coup when they continue to exert their control over their state?
