Such a succinct and well written comment, thanks.
It’s all about Lemmy now. Lemmy is the future.
This is the way.
I quit the moment Baconreader could no longer fetch API and deleted my 10 yr account. Lemmy is amazing, especially in its potential down the road in my view.
Thanks for taking an action and sharing the broad strokes of your experience. Like many, I think Re**it will persist irrespective of the changes – but it will be/is much worse for wear. Welcome to Lemmy!

Thank you for this YSK post, I’ve set up my first reader/feed and think this will be a nice value-added system since ditching Reddit a few weeks back. Especially in concert with Lemmy!
Completely agree, so far. Will be interesting to see where it’s at in a year…
:)
Agreed. At least a consultative approach, being validated and heard can go a long way in fostering compromise ime.
Laying on me couch!
It’s important to ensure coverage of state control. These “moral” issues being delt with via legislative means is abhorrent. Land of the free, eh?

Content is king imo. Let’s do our part and keep Lemmy thriving.
Totally agree, we need to build for the long term. Engagement has power.
EverQuest - especially in the classic era (99-02) fit this for me. The quests were delivered through unsaved text interactions with no quest log type feature - epic weapon quests were notorious for requiring detailed notes, notably prior to any walkthrough websites being available. There were also no maps and players were compelled to draw their own for zones and dungeons. I filled multiple Franklin-Covey (sp?) leather journals during my adventures and look at them with much nostalgia.
