In 2018, Platner returned to Kabul, Afghanistan, for about six months as a State Department security contractor with Constellis, the private military company formerly known as Blackwater, where he provided diplomatic security to the US ambassador to Afghanistan.

It’s probably pretty easy while you are in the army to feel like you love what you are doing. They strip down your individuality during basic and build you up to be part of a team. Your life and your teams lives are in each other’s hands so you love and trust these people, you suffer loss and victory together so you feel a part of something stronger than anything you probably ever experienced.
It isn’t until you get out that you can look back and see that every loss and victory was just bodies thrown into a meat grinder and the mixture of “enemies” and “friends” just changes the war sausage that day.

My computer was crashing constantly, never figured out what it was but I switched over to Linux Mint to see if it was something to do with the software and hardware having an issue since I couldn’t find a hardware only issue.
I liked the environment but was still having crashes. So I upgraded MoBo, GPU, CPU, RAM, PSU, HDD and installed Mint again. It didn’t work out because Mint didn’t have driver support for my newer GPU so I changed over to Nobara and it is very good.
Zohran shouldn’t increase their taxes too much. If he can raise it this tiny unnoticeable amount and get lower rents, free busses, cheaper childcare, and lower food prices then it will show other cities and states what they can do with taxing these greedy assholes. Then in the next federal election cycle someone like him can come in and push for a bigger tax rise federally for these robber barons. Give them tax hikes or give them a one way trip to the guillotine basket, suddenly taxes won’t seem like such a bother.
This just shows how much they want to keep living and working in NYC. So he can raise their taxes to the same amount they would pay in New Jersey and they will stay, because they want to do business and go to Broadway shows.
Life for poor people might get slightly better. Rich people might not even notice 2% more taxes paid but the person serving them at a Michelin star restaurant might have a real smile on their face instead of a fake one.
People look at me funny when I say it that way. They notice less when I say Thor’s-day or Moonday and Frijjaday. Obviously there has been no notice taken at all when I say Sun-day .

I met my partner at the dog park. I had just moved back to the city and she had just started taking her puppy to the park. My dog is 8 years older than her dog.
We didn’t know until months later but she started going at the same time so she would see me and I was going at the same time so I would see her. We’ve been together for nearly 9 years.
Some third spaces are very specialized for certain activities but that is a bonus because something like a dog park means you already have common interest.
