H1-B visas were a great idea in theory, but Silicon Valley has turned them into indentured servitude contracts. The way they exploit those workers is morally reprehensible, and it drags down the value of skilled labor.
And I doubt they’re the only billionaire assholes doing it.
Striking nurses are seeking higher wages, better nurse-to-patient ratios, more paid time off, and lower out-of-pocket costs on their healthcare plans. Doctors want Providence to cap hospital admissions when patient numbers climb too high.
They don’t just want fair pay. They want working conditions that aren’t dangerous to patients.

I don’t buy for even a single second that “pseudonymous” identifier numbers aren’t linked to other data and other identifying numbers. Big tech is willing to create shadow accounts even if you aren’t a user. They will absolutely link whatever data they have to you, then deny it later, call the lawyers, and have them claim a computer magic defense in court.
Zuck makes all these fatal mistakes that should destroy him, but he made enough money to get into the club where laws don’t apply and there are never consequences for your actions.

Trump didn’t even hesitate to kiss the ring. Immigration is his number one issue. He killed the bipartisan bill to run on it. Elon snaps his fingers, and Trump publicly supports his pro-immigration position, which legitimately devalues American workers to create indentured servitude for highly-skilled workers from abroad. The H1B guys were the ones working at Twitter until 2am, while their boss was on drug binges, and sleeping in cots in their offices.
I don’t think Trump even kissed Putin’s ass this much. I hate Trump, but I never thought of him as not having balls, especially against a fucking moron like Elon.
And they’re going to start squeezing even harder to pay for more tax cuts. Seniors who had budgets worked out will have their benefits cut while housing and groceries continue to spike. The tariffs will send groceries and everything else you buy through the roof.
I honestly can’t tell if they’re intentionally trying to destroy the world or if their greed has gotten so out of control that they’ve unwillingly become demons in human form.
