If someone is going to fly explosives somewhere they will simply buy a drone that isn’t DJI. It’s not hard to get around the geofencing if you really want to.

The only benefits to the geofencing was to prevent people from flying around in areas they didn’t bother to research and find out was actually somewhere they shouldn’t be flying.

It would be funny if tiktok just put out a transfer request to everyone’s accounts and then make a new company called toktik and all content gets transferred with any account that opts in. Then the government has to go through the whole process to shut down toktik again.

Regulations don’t prevent people breaking the law though. If they didn’t have the current regulations there would be a lot more people flying a lot more drones in a lot more dangerous areas because they wouldn’t be breaking the law.

Laws also don’t prevent murder from happening, they just make sure the murderer is punished after the fact and make it less likely that it will occur.

I was able to talk with an engineer that managed the water supply for a large city that underwent a fairly substantial evacuation due to a wildlife.

It was really interesting because he was saying how he had to sleep in his office to be on call and able to manage things fast enough. They had to shut down the water supply to specific portions of the city so that all of the water was available to the high risk areas and basically just move the water around as the firefighters told him where the fire was moving to and which areas needed it most.

Yes, too many times I have come across website pages telling me to visit “webpage name” if I’m looking to solve “issue that I need to solve” and then they don’t even include the link to said webpage I have to search and find it myself.

Or do they all have enough of their own solar panels that they are able to power themselves? Which seems sort of impossible. I don’t see how they can determine that.
