I’m just here to say I don’t want to read AI generated texts. Not even when marked as such. I prefer human to human communication. Generation quality isn’t there yet by a long shot.

It’s totally fine if a group of people who never played just start though.

First time GM with first time players. That’s how I think most groups started before online play became so common.

While I don’t think we can beat AI driven content degradation by outposting them, I still agree posting ‘just Google it’ does any good either.

Post an answer or link a topic which covered the same question in detail. But directing people to Google isn’t something I’d advocate. Maybe tell them to Ecosiate it if you really have to.

Also it’s just rude and creates an uninviting admosphere around here Imo.

But the AI issue can’t be solved by users alone. It’s moderation and maybe regulation which is needed here.

• switch my 5e group over to pf2e after our campaign finishes
• run an exploration based campaign (currently looking at Quest for the Frozen flame Pathfinder adventure path)
• formalize, trim down and focus the concept of my own RPG game system down to something properly testable for a whole session

I GMed the second year of our DnD 5e campaign which runs every other week. We went through the official modules Waterdeep Dragonheist and then on to Dungeon of the Mad Mage. We are currently at the final battle of the 4th level of the dungeon. The heroes will be level 8 after the battle. It’s just such a nice group and I am happy we manage to play for so long without any major breaks.

In my second group which is every other week alternating with the first one we had the GM drop out after a little over half a year mid campaign. I offered to run Pathfinder 2e for the first time and it went great. The party is level 5 now and close to the end of the small campaign I prepared. Maybe 2 or 3 more sessions to wrap up. I made up the campaign myself but set it in the world of Golarion. GMing Pathfinder was a blast and I highly prefer it over dnd now. It’ll be my go to system once the mad mage campaign ends which might well be another 2 years. After my Pathfinder campaign ends another player will GM Storm King’s Thunder which we already got characters for and began to play when I couldn’t make prep work in time since GMing 2 groups is a lot for my schedule.

Lastly I began offering beginner one shots in Pathfinder 2e in my flgs and it’s been absolutely awesome. People routinely buy PF books right there at the store after the session ends which is probably the biggest compliment. The beginner box is great for that.

I’m working on a proper dnd 5e beginner adventure similar to the Pathfinder box since the dnd sets aren’t really beginner friendly at all nor do they have proper matirials at the ready.

All in all I had a fantastic RPG year. I hope things can keep going like this in the future.

As for couch coop Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends is some of the most fun I ever had with friends gaming.

Here is what I think is happening. Google blocks certain third party tracking cookies by default in chrome. They said theyll make a list to distinguish between what they call good and bad cookies. Also they’ll add built in tracking for Google into chrome.

With chrome being the most used browser by far they can use that to sell white list slots on their list or access to the built in tracking. I assume that’s what they are after.

As if this game didn’t already have a ton of content and variety. Awesome.

It wasn’t. It is commercial use to train and sell a programm with it and that is regulated differently than private use. The data is still 1 to 1 part of the product. In fact this instance of chatGPT being able to output training data means the data is still there unchanged.

If training AI with text is made legally independent of the license of said text then by the same logic programming code and text can no longer be protected by it at all.
