9·9 days agoYou’re probably right, and I tried to acknowledge that my thinking was flawed by the donning of the tinfoil hat. You make some great points; i just abhor coincide, and pick at it like a dried scab. This sometimes leads me to the ‘put everything in this square hole’ approach (cue nerdy girl melting down).
The truth is probably somewhere in the middle: Russians meddling (and others) a bit when opportunities arise, because a right wing or destabilized west benefits them, with fascist groups emboldened as a result. There’s probably more to it and this is a ‘4 am phone check response’ and I’m going back to bed.

I think it’s all Russian propaganda hard at work. It just seems too systematic. You can almost predict what the next talking point/rhetoric is going to be. I’ve had several occasions where I’ve seen a comment online that really seems out there or needlessly inflammatory, and then watched that comment slowly get adopted and spread to the right, only to become the drum they bang for the next 6 months. It also all seemed to start 2015ish, which somewhat lines up with the Crimean invasion.
Was I reposting their stuff? I can’t keep track of my memes.

The wind rose over the flat expanse of Florida, born from the restless Atlantic and rolling westward in the heavy heat of afternoon. At last, the wind curled over the high walls of Mar-a-Lago, where fountains bubbled beneath the gaze of marble lions, and the grass lay clipped so fine it seemed the earth itself feared displeasing the one who reigned there. On a balcony, a man stood, golden-haired and heavily spray tanned beneath the fading sky, eyes narrowed at the horizon as if he alone could halt the turning of the world by sheer will.
Donald Trump shifted his weight, resting heavily on the rail. The wind tugged at his tie but did not move him. Here, in this strange land, the Wheel of Time did not turn forward, nor back. It spun in confused, lurching spirals, tilting precariously at each revolution. And over it all, the wind blew, indifferent to the affairs of men. Hahahaha holy shit, I got this ad when I opened the page:
Conventional Ag is a method, distinguishing it from regenerative Ag etc.
It’s no joke: conventional Ag is extremely tough on soils, and depletes soil organic matter, and reduces topsoil thickness though ploughing. Add on top of that contamination from various sources (not just Ag) and the picture is bleak.
Make sure you thank the feds in the opening statement so it’s entirely believable
