Too late, I’m already banned

Starlink, sadly, is essential for many rural communities. But yeah, everytime we sign up one of our properties at work to one it always feels like a Faustian pact.

I was a bit annoyed for a while. I made it worse for myself by trying to actually evade my ban using a VPN etc, but I hadn’t appreciated how sophisticated they are these days and once you’re banned you’re banned for life.

It’s odd to me, as when I first started using it throwaway accounts were common and it was a fun place to an anonymously comment on stuff. I might try and rejoin when I next upgrade my phone, but I understand they track your Google account and various other identifiers so maybe it’s to call it a day.

It’s like their trying to please the right-wing and the reform idiots who will always hate them anyway. Totally tone deaf.

In Glasgow if you have 2 guys go for a blue-collar job, where one is Celtic and one is Rangers, then who gets the position would be 100% determined by the team the boss follows, regardless of legislation.

I bought a ‘rechargeable’ one that was basically a disposable with a USB-C charge port on the end. The initial charge seemed to last for the duration of the vape…

The official app is still shit, the mods are mostly absolute zealots, and the Admin uses so many AI tracking tools that if you get banned from a sub for some minor issue, you can soon find yourself get banned from the site forever. Which is why i’m here :-)

I was on it for about 13 years, got banned from AskUK for using ChatGPT as a spell checker, then got permanently banned from reddit for using a throwaway account, which was flagged as ban evasion.

Kind of reassuring that, come the inevitable hostile AI takeover, the weather here in Scotland will come to our aid :-)

Just pleased that he’s not on the tele anymore. His patter was dreadful.
