It’s about him being a dipshit.

IDK, even then, I don’t think you need to understand the culture about it so much. E.g. there was some incident about a white girl wearing a qipao to prom and she got called out for it. In the end, it’s just a piece of clothing that looks nice. It isn’t some deeply symbolic thing for people.
I don’t expect her to try to understand Chinese culture before wearing a qipao (which originated in Mongolia before Chinese appropriated it BTW), and I don’t expect Chinese to understand Western culture before wearing a suit and tie.
But obviously there are some cases, as you said where context does matter.
It’s from the tap. As I said, you still need to filter it. Look up PFAS.
… no? I drink distilled because it’s the most effective filtration method, especially for PFAS. Why the snarky reply?
Do these people not use fluorinated toothpaste? I’ve been drinking primarily distilled water for about ten years now and I’m not aware of it having caused any issues for me. I’d have thought I’d get enough fluoride from brushing my teeth.
Hmm, I haven’t had that issue

Grapefruits are already man-made hybrids of others fruits. Hybridizing fruit is way less complex and way more safe than tweaking medication and trying to get it approved.

It’s sad to see 13 downvotes all because you said “chemicals” instead of “pesticides”, even though it’s right in the excerpt you posted, and you linked to the scientific study. All the responses are trash jokes and people without reading comprehension.
I don’t see a single one that has anything valuable to add.

That has nothing to do with freedom of the press. The government was not involved in this at all. The cartoon wasn’t published because The Washington Post decided not to publish it.
There isn’t any country which has a law like “if an employee wants to publish something then the business must comply”.
We tax businesses. We shouldn’t be allowing businesses or churches to influence government. I believe “no taxation without representation” is meant only to be applied to people.
Rust is amazing. I’ve been using it for six years now. Being strict is exactly what you want when building anything more complex than fizzbuzz. It’s just that people aren’t used to it so it makes them uncomfortable enough to not attempt to learn it or see how beneficial it is.
How do they know what qualifies as “encrypted” vs a binary blob that could be a photo or something?
Isn’t the terminal only going to affect performance when it’s displayed in stdout? I’d think a program like find / using pipes would send the data under the hood and all that the terminal would deal with would be the output of the entire command.
That whole post they didn’t even have one sentence that clearly states what theyre doing. I assume it’s “now we’ll make Ecosia one of the default choices”.
Basically everything is connected in many ways. To be a great cook you need to learn math, history, science, biology, etc.
There are plenty of institutions which allow you to only take courses relevant to your degree, but they are trade schools.
I’d argue there should be a flat out cap on wealth. Nobody should have 500 billion dollars. Not sure what it should be, but somewhere under 500 billion.
