I can’t argue with that because honestly I was jealous of the folks running it. But they are buying new equipment today and I’m not.

Same. I have a lot of legacy recording equipment that I won’t replace until it stops working and it’s all mini USB.
I’m just glad I got what I did instead of FireWire.
Until the CIO gets the “telephone game” version of what’s going on.
I’m less concerned about that and more concerned about supervillains building lairs.
Some of us always look like shit.
Yep. I’ve tried several others and they’re not for me, but a lot of people are really happy with them.
I like SteamOS so much that I’m using HoloISO on mini PCs around the house to simulate consoles and stream couch games from my gaming rig upstairs. But my experience isn’t everyone’s so get your hands on it and try it out.
That’s a conspiracy I can get behind. I have noticed a lot of times one of them grows a conscience for half a moment something damning comes out about them soon after.
Some cults use a similar tactic. You’ve joined, you’re sucked in, and suddenly if you really want the inner mysteries you have to do something terrible on video to prove your loyalty. Then it’s impossible to get out without destroying your life.
Apparently, SpaceX has special tactics to stoke his grandiose ego and trick him into giving them the freedom they need.
It’s a tale as old as bosses. Many of them have big egos and think that because they’re in charge that magically gives them expertise. So if you want to do something you either get them looking at something shiny or you make them think it’s their idea.
I had a boss like that ages ago. If I wanted to work on something out of the ordinary I would plant the idea, then a few weeks later I would remind him that he brought it up a while ago. I used the fact that he had a million things going on so he never really remembered who brought it up. I didn’t care that he got the credit because I got to work on cool things and expand my repertoire.
Why do you think we have mostly terrible “journalism” these days?
Yeah, Infinity hates it. I’ve still got a Firefox browser app pinned that works fine though.
That’s why way back in the day they had GIMPshop and why there’s PhotoGIMP now.
You’re right, once. But adding that one time means I never have to see the launcher again. Clicking no means extra launch time and looking at it every time I launch the game.
But different strokes for different folks. If it’s not worth it to you then that’s cool. It was worth it for me and I thought I’d drop that for anyone else who may want it.
I was going to ask where the ad was, but I forgot that I turned off the launcher specifically because of that. I have no idea about PS but you can add the following on PC to skip the lau8
--skip-launcher
I am more concerned that she’s a ‘viral girlfriend’. I had one of them years ago.
They all but abandoned that years ago. They ain’t implementing shit on it.
It’s a Glass Cliff and a poisoned chalice. Probably with a literal Sword of Damocles over her desk.
ChimeraOS and HoloISO. I haven’t heard of Bazzite but I’m going to have to go look now in case HoloISO gets abandoned. Should be an easy replacement.
I’m using HoloISO (it’s like 95% SteamOS) on a mini PC (all AMD, 680M iGPU because I wanted to get close to the deck specs). I mostly stream games from elsewhere in the house, but it has a few titles installed locally.
The sleep works perfectly so far for local titles. I assume other Arch based distros with all of the steam software installed (like ChimeraOS) work just as well. If the hardware maker who puts it on their box makes sure their hardware is well supported it shouldn’t be an issue.
Yep. A lot of these tech companies that have run in the red for years are now being called on to produce a profit and pay the big backers.
