I actually read the “owning” as video game lingo.
So I am imagining they are playing against a team that really enjoys losing.

Subscription based services typically don’t.

You can just buy a prepaid gift card from a convenience store and pay cash for it.
Then do online purchase with it and download the contents through tor.

I doubt Google actually reviews each app submitted line by line of code. So a malicious developer can theoretically sneak it in one popular app via play store updates.
Good thing the point of 2FA is the 2 factor part so this only compromises one of the two, without some very coordinated attack it’s still quite hard to gain access to your accounts.

“It’s unsafe (to us) because it lets people (the riff raff) use it in a way we do not approve of”

for me it typically don’t cause syntax errors, but the main thing it fucks up is what you specifically told them to do, where the output straight up does not perform the way your specification requires. If it’s just some syntax errors at least the compiler can catch them, this you won’t even know if you don’t bother testing the output.

And what are we doing not learning the good parts?
Very unfortunate the joke of using this got ruined because real nazis still exist.

Most of the good ones have left since they locked off the API and make most of the tools stopped working anyways. They were already kicked off when they did the strike back then so the remaining mods are pretty much the power mods that taken over after said strike.

that’s the point, when people got a dead end when looking for answers on reddit for the nth time, they will stop clicking those results

For me the anticheat can win. It’s just less fighting on the grounds where the cheaters have advantage (their hardware they have full control of), and on the grounds where they can’t control instead, by monitoring behaviour. chess.com is a winning example, no anti cheat software required, yet they can catch cheaters who use a different hardware for assistance (play on PC and lookup moves on phone).

It does really show you how much of your so called “free speech” is free.
Yup, what makes them more important than all the victims they harmed?

yup not staying unreachable is literally the reason old vanced got taken down.
e-mail hasing is viable if you are only using your email for sign in and account recovery. Unfortunately it’s not happening because every service would also want to send you periodical emails about other stuffs.
yes, make your search worse so it’s easier to switch

If we keep using it we can make it make it take the same fate as kleenax and aspirin

aw how unfortunate, I was hoping someone hacked the tesla update system to send those alerts.

Mastodon is a thing, so is BlueSky. Sometimes you just need to let go and start anew (not even from zero, you just inform your active followers where to find you, people who don’t follow are probably inactive anyways, YOU are the content, YOU have the power to move people), and such effort is needed if you are interested in maintaining a decent community (I seen a lot of people are too afraid to prune their communities because numbers would go down)
Just need to make sure your illegal activities are not caught, and prep a fall guy in case it did.
