I indeed do not want to store it all on the phone. It’s more like a temporary folder on the phone, just to upload it to the jellyfin

Depends on numbers of simultaneous streaming capability you need i think. I recently bought a 50 € used esprimo “office computer” and it runs very well. I put a 50 € 1TB nvme SSD+ ~200 € 4TB external ssd and a 30 € wifi pci card and good to go, ± 330 € total… Used an old 1TB HDD i still had for back-up. It wouldn’t suffice for dozens of simultaneous streams with transcoding, but it runs my <5 users jellyfin+deluge+nextcloud very well.

It is. I use it as such regularly. Keyboard+mouse+screen = browsing firefox as usual. Works quite well. Libreoffice, okular, signal desktop… I’ve used worse computers in recent years, steamdeck desktop experience is better than many 4 to 5 year old cheap laptops with win10 or win11.

I installed the decky loader, and as non-steam game Audiotube. It seems to work, doesn’t matter very much to me if keyboard shortcuts like next track don’t function, I usually listen to full albums or dj mixes of 1 or 2 hours.

That means the powers aren’t balanced enough. In USA I have the impression way too much power lies with 1 person from 1 party. In a democracy, absolute majorities should always be avoided in the most powerful places and policy should always remain the outcome (compromise) of talks between many different parties. The elections serve to point out how strongly represented every faction is, but no 1 faction should ever get near the amount of absolute control it has in the USA. Fact a 3rd party can’t arise means the democracy is functionally paralysed, not functioning in democratic way.
