I hadn’t thought of that, thanks!

Is there any argument for region locking games? Doesn’t even need to be good.
I did kind of understand why they region locked dvd players back in the day (if we can make them pay twice why shouldn’t we, after all we are despicable morons who can only look a line that goes up). But for games, I can’t make sense of it.
We already have site blocking in France.
what happened to asking permission first?
Masculine energy I guess.
I can also give you an army of Aquaman, how cool is that?
(don’t hurt me if I made an unholy crossover, I have no idea which heroes belong to which universe)
wrote the same thing before reading the other comments ^^
Imo it’s more sad than hilarious. US users and Chinese users meeting each other on the platform and discovering they are interesting people who actually have a lot in common sounds like what I’d wish the internet to be.
It’s not surprising, and I get the irony, but I feel more sad than amused.
Totally, especially with OP’s title. How much longer do we need to repeat that consent can be withdrawn at any moment and than no one is owned anything regardless of their arousal state?
And I know it’s a meme, a joke, but come on, it’s 2025, there are lots of joke material that don’t involve hinting to justifying sexual assault.
Hello dear internet user,
It looks like you need to educate yourself on at least 3 topics before using your keyboard again:
Once you’ve done the work, we’ll be able to agree on the basics facts and exchange arguments on how we see the situation and the precise words we want to use.
Looking forward to engaging with you in good faith in the future,
Me.
In some civilized parts of the world, we’ve renounced death penalty some time ago and only the far-right wants it back.
I will not debate about whether animals, plants and bacteria suffer the same way.
This is an argument I’ve heard time and time again from the antivegan crowd and imo falls into the “at best very uninformed, more likely troll” category.
Lol found out here that I had been banned from the community. Ty for sharing the information :)
Regarding the matter, I understand their reaction.
I’ve been interacting with some vegan circles IRL and some are more “hardcore” (not in a negative way) than others. When you consider animal exploitation as mass slavery, mass torture and mass murder, it becomes increasingly difficult to tolerate even light deviations from the all-vegan path.
This being said, I would have preferred they had a better wording for the temp ban reason than “fake vegan” by which I feel insulted and hurt.
I’m quite new to linux gaming, and so far I’ve only used CachyOS and EndeavourOS.
I have a dedicated gaming computer with an AMD GPU, only one hard drive and no critical data. Both were easy to install but I just used the default options, didn’t try to do anything complicated.
Performance-wise, I didn’t see any difference (but I don’t care enough to run benchmarks so maybe one gives me 3% more FPS than the other). I play in 1440p.
I’ve had a few mishaps on CachyOS regarding updates (2 years ago) so I tried EndeavourOS and it’s all been smooth since then.
I guess the answer to your questions depends a lot on your gaming style and on what is important to you.
If you’re like me, you just want it to work and you do nothing else than gaming, then all the distros mentioned in this thread are about as good.
If you want to squeeze that extra 2 FPS, or if you want to game on older hardware, or if you also use that computer as part of your homelab… then there are going to be differences.
You might want to consider giving us more information on your needs/projects so that we can adjust our answers.
Welcome to linux gaming :)
Oh this takes me back! Thanks for the laugh you triggered :)
Deep Rock Galactic on Dec 30th :)
Don’t get me wrong, I’m in no way advocating for military nuclear (or even for anything military).
G.R.I.S is short and not replayable but it’s beatiful and deep from start to end. Cried a few times during the playthrough and felt relieved afterwards :)
