I get what you mean, but it kinda sounds like you’re saying women aren’t people.

I’ve had no problems compressing Blu Ray MKVs into MP4s with handbrake (using MX Linux). My drive is a branded, internal one (I want to say LG or Asus.) I am at work right now, by I can look at the model number when I get home if you want. Interestingly, I have actually used it on both German Blu Rays and North American ones.
I was born in 1990, and I had a Teddy Ruxpin bear.
I believe it is Frederic Bastiat and his parable of the broken window.

They’re free, you know? I have 6. Well, one of those is actually paid.
Oh look at this individual with all their potassium and hydration.
Fuck you. (Not really)
I am really enjoying it so far. I’m almost finished with the second map.
So many people seem to hate it for reasons I don’t quite understand. I also really liked Outer Worlds, though.
I’m enjoying the story, the characters, the inventory system - everything everyone else seems to hate. I really don’t understand why other people say the world feels dead. I guess I enjoy not having to run around to find NPCs who are always on the move? (Looking at you, Skyrim.)
Sure, most weapons in the game are exactly the same. But that makes the “unique” ones so much more interesting. I like that I can upgrade those unique weapons, so that they always stay useful. No more quest rewards that are already underleveled when I receive them! (Looking at you, Skyrim.)
I saw someone in this thread say they missed the “stolen item” mechanic. I’ll tell you what I don’t miss: becoming a wanted man because I took some food off a table in a common area or accidentally clicked and took one of the thousands of items lying around that are lootable.
I’m enjoying the Balder’s Gate 3 camping system, but I’m glad you don’t need to “spend” food for every night in camp.
My only “problem” is that it feels a little unoptimized. I get low frame rates sometimes that don’t go away even at the lowest settings, especially inside cities. But, it’s relatively minor. I can (and do) live with it.
It feels like a full game with no glitches on release, which is nice.
Although, if your glass textures all look frosted and weird, then turn “global Illumination” up to at least medium.
Anybody have any idea what’ll happen to those of us already gay married?
The top reason: the badge fell off for some reason, and I do not care enough to replace it.
They consented to something that sounds horrible. None of that changes the fact that it sounds horrible.
They seriously gave people a placebo for pain after surgery? That sounds horrible.
Well, thank goodness the riots worked and the USA was never forged.
(This is a joke, and I know nothing about the riots and their effects.)
At no point in the geological record has atmospheric carbon increased this quickly. We do not know if the systems can adapt quickly enough. Just because it’s not going to happen in my lifetime does not mean it’s not going to happen.
It kinda is the end of the world though. Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere dissolves into the ocean, making it more acidic. When it reaches a certain point, marine life starts dying. Complex terrestrial life won’t last long without it.
Not today, maybe not even this century. But, eventually.
Steam should still have grey as a user interface color option.
if you’re worried about security that much, I’d go with fedora. Or maybe go with a distro based on Ubuntu without the snaps, like Linux Mint? I’m far from an expert, but the main thing the enthusiasts around here complain about with Ubuntu is the use of snaps. I think they’re less secure?
Linux Mint IS the current top distro on distrowatch. It uses “cinnamon” instead of Gnome. Cinnamon is forked from an older version of Gnome from before gnome started looking all weird and touchscreen-y.
I haven’t used cinnamon, so I can’t say anything about it really.
But, ultimately, if you’re worried about cyber attacks and malware then ANY distro of Linux is very safe. Hackers mostly target Windows. The people who use Linux are harder to dupe! Also, because of the fragmented nature of Linux (all the different distros), it is much harder to design malware that works on all of them.
Plasma is just the name of the latest KDE release, I believe. Might I suggest Kubuntu? Ubuntu is the most popular distro in general, and Kubuntu is the KDE/Plasma Version of it.
Because Ubuntu is so popular, it is easy to find support online. I had my husband try Kubuntu, and so far he’s loving it. He has a bit less Linux experience than I do.
You can always change your distro again later!
This is why we need decentralized, open source porn websites.
So, head on over to LemmyNSFW.com and upload a pic of your junk.
Like everyone else, I suggest Lutris or Heroic Games Launcher for most games. Lutris has a relatively straightforward interface to walk you through what it offers. It can even help you install EA and Ubisoft games. Heroic launcher allows you to install games from the Epic and GOG stores. Minecraft has multiple launchers available. Plus, there’s RetroArch and DOSBox for most retro stuff. There are system-specific emulators like Dolphin for GameCube. There are even some fun, free games like “Super Tux Kart” and “Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead.”
Everything I just mentioned is available for download using the “Discover” app in desktop mode of Bazzite. If you have questions about specific games, I might be able to help.
I’m in a very similar boat. I’ve been telling my husband gently that almost nobody in my family makes it to 70…
