The app I am currently using is called Calory. Sadly it’s not FOSS. I run an older version and block internet access to it so I don’t get the nag screens to pay their subscription pricing.
An issue I came across with the calorie apps on f-droid is that there isn’t one that simply lets me set a calorie goal/limit, and then lets me enter calories throughout the day and shows the running total and the remaining calories allowed. Basically I just want a special-purpose calculator app.
Please don’t force me to select what food i ate for which meal; just let me enter numbers.

The only thing I would add is that it’s not our place to tell others to lose weight or to point out their weight; people already know they are overweight and that it’s unhealthy. We shouldn’t be policing other people’s bodies.

I think the law should be changed; copyright law is kind of a mess, but I don’t know how to make it better. It would also need to be changed in a way that’s fair, which these companies absolutely do not want; fairness would mean the end of laws like the DMCA.
I learned to moisten the eye of the needle instead of the thread. It makes threading a needle way easier. Also, making sure the thread is cleanly cut at the end and not fraying.
