Tales from the Borderlands is the best Borderlands game, and it’s a shame that they even screwed that game’s characters up in Borderlands 3

I think the current discussions on c/ps5 is about PlayStation in general instead of just console exclusive already, I don’t think keeping it separate from c/Playstation would foster any diverging discussion environments, and as the communities here are still small-scale, conglomeration would generate much livelier climate and new discussions. So, in favor of joining forces
Bought a PS5 and have been waiting for Burning Shores to go on sale
Yakuza 0 is the pinnacle of the series, you should absolutely try it. Tbh, you can just play 0-Kiwami 1-Kiwami 2, it serves as a great trilogy, with one great game and two good remakes, while the Remastered trilogy (3-4-5) can be skipped if you already experienced them. I personally don’t like 6 that much, but you can go for it for the story.
It’s definitely difficult to go through the entire series consecutively. You can avoid burnout by breaking up your playthroughs with the spin-off. Both Judgment games are amazing and offer a fresh take on the old RGG formula.
Are you playing original XI or the S version? Learning that the battle speed QoL is a S exclusive I can’t imagine playing the original, but with such a good base game ultimately it’s doesn’t affect the experience that much.
I also just plat’d Marvel’s Avengers, which started fine as I enjoyed its single-player campaigns, but the post-game grinds got really monotonous after a while. Had they just focused on making a tight single-player game like GotG I think it would have sold better and not get delisted.
Currently playing Marvel’s GotG (great game), Alan Wake (played on PC, replaying the Remastered on PS5), and Like a Dragon Ishin (more grindy than regular Yakuza games so not as fun for me).
I grinded the endgame for the trophies. Thank god there are 12 different characters to cycle through or I’d have died of boredom. But the campaigns were fun, so I got my 5$ worth.
Is there an easy way to migrate from the official app to Fennec? Keeping accounts, extensions and settings?
I assumed you are on PC, oops 😅 both Spider-Man games are available there
You’re better off playing the two Spider-Man games, seriously, Spider-Man in this game sucks
Star-Lord plays like a third-person shooter, with special abilities. In battle, the other Guardians auto-battle, but you can issue commands to them to activate special skills. It’s more strategic in that nature.
In exploration and story, there are also decision-making moments that lightly alter the game.
Can Rockstar at least optimize a performance mode for PS4 Pro or am I expecting too much from this company 🙂
For a long time the rumour was that RDR couldn’t be re-released because the code was a spaghetti mess. So if they managed to clean it up for both PS4 and Switch, I hope it means PC port would be possible now
Unlikely, given that Crystal Dynamics was sold by Square Enix to Embracer Group last year and had been the publisher since. I do understand the confusion: People being genuinely interested in something without monetary incentive? Unheard of.
GotG plays completely differently. You control Star-Lord, and as leader of the Guardians, issue commands to the others. It’s akin to a team-based RPG (I made the comparison in another comment, think FFXV). It has role-playing element in storytelling, the level are well-designed corridors instead of Avengers’ semi-open playbox. Coming out near and from the same publisher as Avengers really hampered GotG’s perception but it is a worthy experience.
Best part is that those additions are free so you cost nothing
GotG and its combat system gives me the same feeling as FF15. For a party gameplay, it’s a good system to develop the bonds between characters.
It’s fully playable offline now. All cosmetics DLC are unlocked from the start as well.
I tried the Open Beta. It was fine but not enough to make me fork over cash.
Well, it’s why we’re here anyway, to enjoy fully updated game at a fraction of the cost 🤣
Extra: Marvel’s Avengers lack of success led to less than stellar initial reception to another Marvel game of Square Enix, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy (2021). The devs had to spend time before release clarifying that GotG is purely single-player, with no microtransaction whatsoever.
GotG is a fantastic game that was inspired by the MCU but still offers a distinct experience due to its heavy comic roots (Drax the Destroyer instead of Drax the Dadjoke, for example). If you want a more focused Marvel experience, GotG is the game for you.
I finally 100% Arkham Knight after 9 years, completing all the Community Challenges trophies, including Requiem for a Killer challenge (the one where you have to do a 400±combo in a endless combat challenge to reach and defeat the secret boss).
Think I’m gonna install Red Dead Redemption 2 next. Finished RDR for the first time last year and wanna finish the sequel, which I started a few years back on the PS4 but dropped.
