I mean the bots don’t help. The sheer number of obviously AI subreddits and response farms is crazy. There’s like 6 prominent “Am I the Assholes”, a bunch of text message “screenshot” subreddits which have always been easy to fake, and a bunch of “explain the joke” ones too. I stop reading halfway through most text posts and comments because it’s obviously AI
I don’t personally think we’re anywhere close to this point but I imagine the objective is to eat the corporate laptop market. Outside of developers I think there’s a real appeal to giving business users an AR headset and a phone. You don’t have to worry about monitors, keyboards, headsets, etc. It’s significantly lighter and more mobile. Most of what business people do doesn’t need more processing power than a phone has. You could eliminate cubes and just have banks of seats with small desks. Plus imagine the productivity gains when you can literally watch the user’s eyes and prevent them from even looking at non-work items

In America at least most people don’t really consider it until the kid is born. Then in the post birth rush of things happening someone asks if you want to circumcise your kid. The Final Fantasy pixel remasters are all old school turn based RPGs that can be played one handed on the steam deck. Certainly not all 50 games but UFO 50 has a bunch of games made for a non-existent console that are all pretty simple and I would bet a lot of them can be played one handed. Both Crypt of the Necrodancer and Cadence of Hyrule are rhythm dungeon delver games that probably work one handed too, technically so would the new game Rift of the Necrodancer but that requires more skill than I have
Oh, and for the RPG fan Disco Elysium is almost certainly up his alley and perfect for one handed play

Republicans have control of every part of the federal government, The House, Senate, Presidency, and Supreme Court. As long as Democrats just vote no and don’t impede legislation (which they should also do, but I digress), their messaging should be “look how fucking incompetent your leadership is. They have every tool at their disposal and still can’t run a government effectively.” Why is it the Democrats job to assist them? It’s not like Republicans would do the same

There’s a lot of good arguments out there. Pong for being the “first”, Pac-Man for making arcades insane and bringing in big money, Tetris for its wide appeal, Mario 64 for convincing everyone 3d games work, Doom for popularizing the fps, Wii Sports for its ubiquity, Farmville for starting what would become mobile games (which as much as gamers hate to admit, they make more money than every other platform combined). It’d take a pretty convincing argument for me to fully believe any of them but of mine I’d make an argument for Pac-Man, but my heart wants it to be Tetris

I made a lemmy post about it but I theorize they’re crowdsourced AI training. Post something, post a couple of separate AI interpretations of it, then analyze the highest up voted AI and “organic” responses, and feed that back into the model. Rinse/repeat
