Something like torrents. Split the whole thing in small 5gb torrents.
What is reddit? Never heard of it.
Where did they go to? From Apple to Microsoft to SpaceX to Apple?
I have this vpn because it comes for free with my Google Drive subscription. I have never used it because it does not do what I expect it to do
What I do is two things
This ways, all your views are meme-free.
Bonus tip for finding new commuties: create a new account and go to your All view. Every post you see, check if you like the community. If you like it, subscribe to it on your normal account and then block it on your new account. The new account works kind of like check off system. Each community that you made a decision on (subscribe or don’t care) will no longer be visible on the new account. This way, other communities that are smaller will also be revealed.
Same with YouTube ads. Lots of scam’s and reporting it always ends in my report getting denied…
In addition what others have already said, in the Gmail search bar it can search for mails that have an attachment larger than x mb. I did that some time ago and there where a lot large mails that were not worth it to save on disk
Can’t really give you a recommendations but a starting point could be the rockbox firmware. They have a list of mp3 players that they have been able to install their custom firmware on. https://www.rockbox.org/wiki/TargetStatus Maybe there is a player on that list that you like. Do note that the last update was in 2019 so the devices on that last are probably even older than 2019
How I’m reading it, is that all Lemmy v0.18 servers (and lower) will no longer work with Voyager v2 web app. And Lemmy v0.19 does work. But I might be wrong…
Here is the changelog text
The next release of Voyager will be v2. Voyager v2 will break support for lemmy v0.18 for progressive webapp clients! This is due to CORS limitations where web clients cannot set a custom Cookie header for backward compatibility, and the new v0.19 lemmy-js-client removes authentication via the auth url param.
Or one for css or Angular. Just implement the basic style for buttons, text, menu’s etc and adjust where needed. A bit like Bootstrap but then more basic
Should be something like the system that torrents use: each instance provides the video at the same time to the same user. Some instance give 100kb/s and another 900 kb/s. In the end, the user streams the video with 1000kb/s
But why? If Twitter is something he and his friends do not like it would be a better move to censor everything instead of pushing the users to other Twitter alternatives and spread the same message over there. Controlling is more valuable than pushing the users away.
Does this have anything to do with the whole email thing from the American military? According to the financial times, there are about 117.000 emails send to .ML addresses instead of .MIL…
Can’t answer it but isn’t the whole thing backed up (synced) to other instances? If I’m browsing lemmy.world community on my lemm.ee account, I’m actually only fetching data from lemm.ee. Only downside is that if there is an instance started after the community got lost, it will not have that community synced.
Not my first memory.
When I was eight years old, I was wondering how long I could remember something. So I started an experiment. I decided to remember what I did that day for as long as possible. Every evening when I was in bed I would try to remember it. That was 30 years ago and I still remember that that day I went playing with a friend and we tried to make a swimming pool in his parents backyard and we played with some wild cats.
I hope I can keep the experiment going until I’m at least 90+
I can see your post from lemm.ee. Can you see my comment?
One of the GTA games (I think it was 4) made you random drunk. No way to driving/walking/flying in a straight line.
So it finally happened. Was already wondering why it kept working for so long. Hopefully we see the new Boost app for Lemmy soon.
Not what your asking but, I have a backup hard disk at my workplace. I have the same size disk at home and when I need to update something on my backup, I copy it to the at home disk. I bring that to work and bring back the other disk home. This way, there is always a backup away from home. All encrypted so nobody can steal the data.
Other options can be a friend or family member.
And for other stuff I also have it on Google Drive.
