You need a government interested in upholding laws. None of the three branches have done anything to suggest that they care about the law recently.
It took 6 years for them to even invade Poland, which is when other nations got involved and eventually led to Nazi Germany’s downfall.
If they didn’t try to take over Europe, they might even still be around.

Edit: also weird that it is not mentioned in this article on her suicide. Probably just shitty journalism.
