Both the People’s Republic of China (China) and the Republic of China (Taiwan) claim to own all of China and Taiwan. Neither has reneged on their claim.

The reason why you see the west dance around Taiwan is because if they acknowledge Taiwan then they acknowledge Taiwan’s claim the mainland China (at least as far as China is concerned).

I think it’s time for Taiwan to renounce their claim to mainland China and gain full international support.

Of course, internal politics are probably not that simple. And China would definitely use that as an excuse to invade – er, restore democracy to – Taiwan.

This is just an air of impartiality so that they can claim the same for all the terrible thing they are about to do.

You could point me at 99% of all C++ projects that have dependencies and it ./configure && make install wouldn’t work on any of my machines.

That’s why configure takes 100 arguments, so you can tell it where every single dependency is. I don’t miss those days.

For me, reading is a part of my nightly routine of going to bed. I’ll lay down and read until I fall asleep - it usually doesn’t take too long. I only make it through a few books a year, but I enjoy it.

Why not all of the above? Each state can run their own and smaller cities and towns can use it. If larger cities want to host their own, then they can do that instead of relying on state instance.
