We’re very happy you can be smug then. Great job.

Read op posts. He definitely deserves to be done like that.
There are way too many people who fault you and your effort if it’s not perfect in their eyes.
Those people are to blame for our current situation too.
I’m at the point where I’m questioning if it’s really wrong honestly.
They should be worried more and more people are experiencing the same thought.
I’m so old I still just use git checkout -b somebranch anyway.
Honestly, if you know nginx just stick with it. There’s nothing to be gained by learning a new proxy.
Use Mozilla’s SSL generator if you want to harden nginx (or any proxy you choose)- https://ssl-config.mozilla.org/
Ahh OK. Makes sense now. I just read it wrong at first.
Iirc you can subscribe to any mastodon account via RSS already no?
But yes, regardless I think RSS is a must.
Which they expressly said they wanted in the comment I responded to…
Personally I’d recommend restic and backblaze b2 if I were you. Dedup and quick.
They’re already doing that. They were upgrading them to be in time for the Superbowl.
Well, where are all the people voting progressives in the primary?
Why would he? This is what America wants. People either voted for trump or were too fucking lazy to vote at all.
Precisely. My only fear is the people who need the biggest punch in the face won’t get it. Or will be too stupid to understand it.
Isn’t ghost an alternative?
Yeah…and they’d keep dying even if you did what they were still doing only it’d be worse for so much longer.
I usually like your takes but you’re just saying “children dying=bad.”
Everyone knows that. But you also have to accept that there will be short term pain for a longer term gain. If you disagree then I’d like to hear solutions that you have to fix it without this. I mean- with these fixes an IMF loan is back on the table that could help alleviate some poverty potentially, etc. Economists are not the end all be all but again, the data is trending in the right direction despite the pain it takes to get back to good. There is no magic fix for decades of neglect here.
And who said he is good? I don’t personally like the guy for a bunch of his takes. But if this particular bit of policy is righting the ship then it should be lauded despite his personality or other flaws. And even then that is quite a…not sure how to phrase this politely, “lame” take that every libertarian ever doesn’t care about people’s suffering. I’ve read personal writings of his and it seems he believes that people are better off when they can provide for themselves without the state doing it for them. Now, I personally think that is bollocks but given where Argentina is with their massive government and massive debt he has far more room to have that attitude and push his ideas before they go too far. But again- if it’s just his personal beliefs it doesn’t mean that “does not give a shit about people suffering”- it’s that he believes they won’t once the state gets out of their way.
Seriously man- there is room for nuance here.
53% is not “around 60”. Moreover,
today Milei has a stable approval rating of 50 percent.
Apparently even some of those in poverty agree with his reforms.
I think people who only started paying attention to Argentina since he got elected should review the past few decades of history.
Im also not saying he’s great but he is at least making some needed reform. We’ll see if it continues. He definitely has an attitude and zeal that could push it too far but at this point it has helped.
Luigi even said that in the manifesto- economic protest isn’t viable in this system. He’s basically right.
Im not saying theyre activists. I have and generally theyre uninterested (obviously) but would learn if they took the time to actually vote. That or their opinions line up with more left of center things but they aren’t represented by that because they don’t vote. (The experience is probably different given you live in a blue area and I in a purple one.)
Even if they don’t, they should vote regardless. It’s a civic duty.
Except freedom of speech only applies to the government. You can’t yell from your neighbor’s front lawn either if they don’t want you to.
That said, the fact police were sent is BS.
