My siblings rely on tourism to feed and house their children and grandchildren, but they’re also trumpers who are unaware of the relationship between Trump and the drop in tourism.

It was sad to watch my nieces and nephews grow up w roughly the same levels of food and housing security that I did and a real mindfuck to watch their children grow up w even less.

It’s beyond a sad mindfuck that our system reinforces their willful ignorance that keeps them where they are and I feel that our situation is a microcosm of the Western world at large; where the very few family members who self educated on our circumstances are treated as black sheep for trying to educate the others because the lessons run contrary to the narrative that’s perpetually reinforced by their equally ignorant peers, popular media, and purposefully less than mediocre public education

It’s almost as if vacationers are purturbed by the threat of being sent to a literal slave labour prison without due process.

I wouldn’t come here.

And we still have months of people who already booked. Once those dry up it gets real.
