He hasn’t fought with anyone you guys, he’s been high as fuck and hit his face on a table or something.
Got slapped in a throuples spat.
Doubt it. Pussies like him avoid physical conflict at all costs, even though they would never admit it.
I’m like 99% sure he’s just taken a line too strong of ketamine and literally zoned out and hit his face on the table. He’s right handed right? So he’d take his right hand to his nose and snort with his left nostril, then have that hit a bit too hard and fall on the right side of his face.

Is that roughly the size of one of Brigitte’s bony fingers?
he took a cheeto to the face
Who cares?! He is a fascist scum!
Hitler enjoyed when his inner circle fought with each other. Elon Musk is going out on good terms. The rich have solidarity in their class. Instead of focusing on Elon Musk, maybe you should focus on the dystopic security state that is being built by Palantir. Peter thiel is the anti social Angry gay man who runs that shit.
what do you call a Nazi with a black eye?
a good start
In a world where billionaires exist, by rules of ethics, as long as they exist, we are all defending ourselves from them.
I LOVE that he thinks his leaving government to refocus on Tesla will solve the sales issue Tesla has been experiencing.
He just does not get it.
The sad thing is if he steps away from politics, I think the outrage will subside in a couple of months. The public doesn’t have that strong a memory in the best of times, with the pace of news nowadays, very few people will remember how much of problem he was being.
So yes, just locking him out of the spotlight would be enough. His leadership is not great, but distracting him could really save Tesla’s image.
I am hopeful that the pain continues for him. Tesla was the only option for a few years for an EV with >100mile range and a nation wide system for charging. Those things are not true anymore. I mean I got chargers near my visitor center tourist area with a population of ~40k ffs. He had a monopoly and a comically inflated stock valuation. The stock is currently seeing a proper rebalance now that there is competition. Dude had a defacto monopoly, and pissed it away to do two Nazi salutes. He likely will never be actually broke, and Tesla isn’t going away completely anytime soon. But any economic pain he endures is a slight glimmer of hope.
I agree that Tesla does and should be considered to have deeper problems, as more new players crowd out Tesla as well as “legacy” automakers in many ways also competing.
I feel like TSLA is still way out of wack. You put GM, Ford, Toyota, and Honda together and still you are less than half the market cap of Tesla. This is utterly absurd, even the “not up to snuff today, but they’ll outgrow everyone” argument I don’t see happening.
But as to his adventures in “Dark MAGA”, he gets some people distracting him with shiny toys and telling him how smart he is and the world will largely forget that particular “contribution” in fairly short order. So long as it’s not letting him declare that all Tesla products henceforth will adopt the cybertruck design language and quality, Tesla can benefit from him just stepping the hell out of the spotlight again.
The problems with tesla are not really about his involvement with the government, but that he’s being outcompeted by BYD and other Chinese EV manufacturers.
Unfortunately, you’re probably right.
Wasn’t Tesla the company that had a person (or group of people) dedicated to distracting him, thereby letting the rest of the company actually do work?
That picture doesn’t look like the picture of a guy who will finally deliver self driving cars after promising they were less than one year away for the last 20 years.
The drugs ate his already small brain
Right wing ideology is ultimately self destructive because it’s literally built on being selfish.
He was tripping balls at that event.
I’ve known ket users, and I know how he got that black eye - he tried to walk across a room and fell over and hit his head.
Ding ding ding 100% correct what do we have for our guest?
He absolutely faceplanted into a table or something
Literally my first thought as well.
Like if you see a kid with a bruised knee, you don’t assume he’s been in a fight, you know it’s a kid and kids fall down all the time.
Same with ket addicts.
And then pissed himself probably
Damn the aliens in the walls were singing lullabies to him apparently.
Yes - it seems odd not to report both.
The ketamine side effects probably had him fall and/or bump into something.
Yeah, honestly, as much as I want there to be some drama here, he probably did this to himself by accident. The kid punching him story is stupid, fake, gay, dumb, etc. Nobody really believes that shit.
If someone did actually punch him, he would have lost his shit, there would be a much larger fallout.
He’s just a drug addict (not a bad thing, lots of beautiful people are, let’s not shame), who is abusing others around him as a result of his drug abuse. He probably just hit his head on something while fucked on Special K/E/Adderall/etc.
…stupid, fake, gay, dumb… --> 75 upvotes on lemmy
It’s a greentext meme. Everything on 4chan is “fake/gay”.
It’s not being used in a serious context here.
“That’s how they do it on 4chan” is probably one of the worst possible justifications for one’s behaviour.
I mean, even the various LGBT sub reddits commonly use that Chang in community saying “HA, GAAAY!” gif to various number of up votes.
I think context matters. My queer friends and I will call each other the f-slur, but I wouldn’t use it at a family supper, for example. Likewise, I think the tone is different using “gay” in a queer meme community versus in a serious discussion on a news community.
I’m not defending the flippant use of it in day to day conversation. But considering this community (Lemmy) I think it’s fairly safe to say they were not being homophobic.
I shut that shit down quick with some Gen z roommates I had when they said it everyone they died in a video game. For context, I am two standard deviations to the right of the bell curve when it comes to largeness, and I don’t mean I was fat. My mom considered herself bi, but is married to a woman. After relaying that info to said roommate, I didn’t hear it again.
That being said, I don’t think that type is prone to the jumping through technological hoops required to create an account here.
I think most addicts would disagree with you that being an addict isn’t a bad thing.
Hating addicts for being addicts, is a bad thing. They’re still people, with full lives, and can be wonderful humans. They may also need help, or they may choose not to get help. The point being, we shouldn’t judge people based on whether or not they’re an addict.
Noone said they were hating him for his drug use. Being a drug addict is a bad thing by definition. If it wasnt a negative for the person we wouldnt call it addiction.
Unfortunately drug addicts are “judged” because they are simply riskier to associate with than a sober person. I’m not sure how many sober people are actually left though, and most people won’t disclose their drug addictions.
In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts by Gabor Mate was pivotal in reframing my perspective on addiction and addicts.
Sorry, could you summarize how?
It expanded my understanding of their socioeconomic plight, psychological suffering, and physiological vicious cycle, exacerbated by ineffective draconian punitive measures implemented by government. It’s a truly excellent and compassionate book, I found the discussion on brain chemistry fascinating as well, and should be easy enough to find with Libby or at a local library.
This ideology started in the 60s and 70s with moral panics against minorities. Drug Addicts are inhumane in our society and well were pathetic.
Where did you get the idea I hate/judge addicts? You made it up. You’re willing to wash away the ugliness that the disease of addiction is, and that’s a pretty bad thing to do.
I don’t believe they were projecting, so much as clarifying their original position.
Correct
I think they were ignoring the nuance which is that a good person could be a victim of a bad thing without it being their fault. Otherwise why say “it’s not a bad thing”?
victim of a bad thing
I think you hit the nail on the head here. Addiction is the bad thing. Being an addict (victim) is not.
Most people are drug addicts. Almost everyone I know is addicted to caffeine. Addiction sucks, but being an addict isn’t necessarily bad. It’s when it starts causing issues in your life or you can’t handle yourself properly that it’s a problem.
Also sugar
Carbohydrates are needed for our bodies to function, so sugar is a bit different.
Yeah, I think I’ve read that sugar is more addictive than cocaine. Put simply, we’re all addicted to things. I don’t know if anyone in this world can truly say they aren’t an addict. Some addiction are just more socially acceptable, but that just brings to light that addiction isn’t the issue, it’s the behavior. You should be allowed to be addicted to what you want as long as it doesn’t harm others.
Virtually everyone is addicted to sugar, to the point that most people can’t imagine that it’s an addiction… until they try to stop.
Not trying to give credit to Elonazi. I just remembered that my kid (~19 months) smashed the babyphone onto my head. I would have gotten a black eye for sure if he would have hit it. Still love him. My son, not Elonazi, of course.
Him and Steve miller got into it
His mind is on the verge of becoming complete mush due to drug abuse isn’t it?
He looks and sounds like a druggie that will soon become homeless due to complete disassociation with reality, how can this even happen with personal doctors and clinics, and diets, and cosmetologists and whatever else?
“verge of”
Bro he went off that ledge like 10 years ago
Micheal Jackson had all those things and still OD’d on tranquilizers.
Drugs can be a helluva drug. Also billionaires don’t think that anyone else has the right to tell them “no”.
Also billionaires don’t think that anyone else has the right to tell them “no”.
Also, billionaires have enough money to find a doctor who will tell them, “yes.”
Hi everybody!
A wild Dr. Nick appeared. And got down voted.
Also, Musk is notoriously overconfident that he can learn anything better than experts. No doubt in my mind he’s decided how much ketamine and other drugs he “needs,” and has pliant doctors to agree.
And, billions of dollars to have lackeys find you drugs. And private fucking jets to fly to countries with drugs, and bring you back drugs. And a bestie you bought a Presidency for, to keep the DEA from seeing your plane.
Motive, means, and opportunity.
And most of all, a gargantuan ego that refuses to believe anything bad can happen to them.
He probably has his own lab. At least that what I would do if I had all that money.

Not a bad idea. It could be distributed, with innocent components assembled in any of his many factories, and then final mix in the nursery.
He’s the wealthiest man in the world, what do you mean “how does this happen?”?
Verge? I think he’s been well past that point for a while now.
Don’t you think he looks tired?
Nice doctor who reference :D
